Berlin, 15 02. 2011 - Climate change is continuing. Germany has therefore already from the year 2040 throughout the year expecting a substantial increase in extreme precipitation. Threaten already in three decades, significantly more damage from flooding. Politics, economy and society must early preparation of the growing risk of weather extremes. This result of a joint research project by the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK), the Agency for Technical Relief (THW), the Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) and the German Weather Service (DWD) on the impact of climate change on extreme weather events took place today in Berlin by the four authorities presented.
Mr. Strotmann reported by THW in 2010 fell on a total of 845 781 hours of use - almost twice as many as in 2009. Most of this was attributable to weather-related operations.
The problem is therefore a Problem child of the insurance. Where an insurance protection in vulnerable areas is still affordable?
